Kristi Bzdafka, CPT
NASM CPT & Corrective Exercise Specialist
Pre/Post Natal Instructor
Kristi was raised in Twinsburg, Ohio. She went to Kent State University and studied exercise science. She currently resides in Burke with her husband and two teenage sons. Kristi has been a military spouse for 21 years and has enjoyed moving around the world with her family.
Kristi was a level 10 competitive gymnast and was set to compete at Kent State University. Summer before freshman year she had a career ending injury. Through this difficult time she found coaching. Coaching has become one of the most important parts of her life. She has been coaching competitive gymnastics for many years and is currently the head gymnastics coach at Marshall High School. She enjoys implementing sport specific training techniques with her athletes.
After having her second son, Kristi was struggling with her weight and her body image. She decided to make some dramatic changes and was able to lose 100 lbs on her own with exercise and strict diet. After all of her hard work she thought that maybe her story could help motivate other people and she decided to become a personal trainer. She attended Wellspring School for Allied Health in Kansas City and started training clients in her home. While training clients, she continued her education and obtained her corrective exercise certification as she wanted to be able to help clients and gymnasts prevent and work through injuries. Kristi is also an Oh Baby! Fitness Pre/Postnatal Fitness Instructor.
Currently Kristi is busy working with clients, coaching the gymnastics team as well as her son, who is a nationally ranked rifle shooter. Kristi enjoys doing HIIT style workouts as well as cardiovascular interval training. She enjoys competing in sprint triathlons. She also works hard to keep the flexibility that she had during her gymnastics days with yoga.
Kristi hopes to use her personal experience with athletics, injury, coaching, weight loss and education to help clients reach their fitness goals. Most importantly she wants to be her client’s biggest cheerleader. She hopes to do this by utilizing a wide variety of tools to create unique and diverse workouts.
