Start Your Breakfast Out Strong with Proatmeal

At DeHenzel Training Systems, we are always stressing the importance of breakfast to our clients. It’s not just the meal that is significant but what type of foods are consumed as well. Breakfast is the first chance your body has to fuel itself, get your metabolism going, and influence healthy choices for the rest of the day.

Breakfast that is high in lean protein, low in sugar and fat, and includes whole grains will give you the biggest bang for your buck in the morning. Not only will this combination help keep you fuller longer but it will also help to lower your cholesterol, improve your concentration and boost your muscular energy.

Navigating through endless products can be difficult in terms of knowing what constitutes as a healthy choice. Many breakfast products include tons of artificial ingredients, are high in refined sugar and fat, and offer little to no protein. They advertise a healthy choice but deliver the farthest thing from one. However, our friends at Proatmeal are doing it right and have managed to nail breakfast with their new protein-packed oatmeal.

When we heard our friends at Proatmeal were coming out with a protein-packed oatmeal, my husband Jason and I immediately thought, “ok, this isn’t anything new…we’ve seen products like this before…how will this be different?”  Additionally, Jason is extremely lactose intolerant so he figured it was just another product that he wouldn’t be able to consume.

To our pleasant surprise and compared to the traditional protein powders that we were used to, the brown rice protein that Proatmeal uses is dairy-free! Not only could Jason eat Proatmeal but upon receiving some samples, he ate it all within the first few days! I guess you can say it was well enjoyed in our home :)

Above everything, the wonderful thing about Proatmeal is that not only is it organic, vegan (dairy-free), gluten-free, and no sugar added, but it actually tastes great! I mean finally a protein packed breakfast product that doesn’t taste like chalky protein powder! Proatmeal comes in three wonderful flavors (peanut butter with chocolate and banana is our favorite), convenient packaging and is as easy to make as instant oatmeal.

As personal trainers we really value that Proatmeal is high in protein (30 Grams in peanut butter with chocolate and banana), low in sugar (6 Grams in peanut butter with chocolate and banana), and doesn’t have any artificial additives or fillers.
