Susan was born and raised in Massachusetts (Go Sox!) and moved to the Washington, DC area after graduating from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA with a B.A. in Political Science. She subsequently earned an M.A in Economics from The George Washington University. She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and two children.

A life-long athlete and lover of the outdoors, Susan played a variety of team sports in her youth and early adulthood, including soccer, softball, basketball, and volleyball, and is known for trying any other sport that looks fun and challenging. As she balanced work and family obligations over the years, she branched into endurance sports and has in the past decade done a variety of running, biking, and triathlon events, including six marathons and a half Ironman.

Susan’s love of exercise and desire to help people who want to be more fit and achieve their best, at any age and ability level, led her to pursue fitness as a second career and become a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Susan is also an Oh Baby! Fitness Pre/Postnatal Fitness Instructor and a Certified Functional Aging Specialist.

Susan will engage you with a variety of workouts in a fun, supportive environment! She also has sustained injuries and endured physical therapy over the years and thus focuses on good form and adjusting exercises for all needs.
