DeHenzel Training Systems was created by husband and wife team, Jason and Sophie DeHenzel, who met in NYC while working for a prestigious, high-end in home personal training company.
As a senior trainer, Jason spent hours working one-on-one with Sophie (the new hire), mentoring her to become a more seasoned and skilled personal trainer. It wasn’t long before their connection grew beyond the fitness studio to a private wedding ceremony on a Cape Cod beach.
While working in NYC, Jason and Sophie had the opportunity to work with company CEOs, high-level lawyers, an Academy & Golden Globe nominated movie producer, a world-renown DJ and many other notable clients.
After growing tired of living in a very small East Village apartment, lugging their laundry up/down four flights of stairs to the Laundromat and riding the subway in 90-degree heat, Jason and Sophie headed south to the suburbs. They settled in Jason’s hometown of Loudoun County.
It has always been a dream for both Jason and Sophie to have their own business, and it was only natural to include an element of fitness into their dream. In 2012, Jason and Sophie coupled their entrepreneurial skills with their passion for fitness and for helping people and DeHenzel Training Systems was born.
Aside from being husband and wife, Jason and Sophie also compliment each other very nicely as business partners. Jason brings his entrepreneurial skills and company vision to the table, whereas Sophie excels with her management and client relationship abilities. Together they are very passionate and committed to growing their business and positively impacting as many lives as possible throughout the DMV.
