Will a personal trainer come to my home?
Yes! Our personal trainers come to your home, apartment or workplace. Workouts can take place in the comfort and convenience of your home, building or community gym throughout Northern Virginia, Washington DC and select parts of Maryland.
I don’t have any equipment, do I need to buy some for the sessions?
No problem, no equipment is necessary. Our trainers will bring all the equipment necessary to your home. If you do have equipment that you would like to incorporate, just let your trainer know, and they will happily make use of your equipment. Training sessions can also take place in your building gym if you have access to one.
How long are your personal training sessions?
For in home personal training, our sessions are either 45 or 60 mins in length. For virtual personal training, we offer 30 or 45 minute personal training sessions.
How many times per week should I work with a personal trainer?
On average, our clients train 2x/wk. We have found this to be a great frequency to keep our clients on track to reach their goals. Depending on budget and/or scheduling needs, some clients opt to train 1x/wk and others prefer a higher frequency at 3x/wk. We are happy to make a training frequency recommendation before you get started.
What type of clients do your trainers work with?
We work with all clients ranging in physical abilities and training goals, no experience is necessary. We work with teens, busy professionals, pre/post natal women, retirees, seniors, the elderly and those with degenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s.
How is in home personal training different than going to a gym?
With in home personal training, you benefit from the convenience of having the gym come to you. Travel time is eliminated to and from the gym, leaving you with more time for yourself and your family. You also experience the accountability of having a standing appointment that comes to you. Also notable, the privacy, comfort, one-on-one undivided and uninterrupted attention you receive with our team, opposed to at a large, busy gym.
I have some concerning aches and pains; can I still workout with a trainer?
Yes, of course! Many of our clients have contraindications to exercise and are still able to workout safely and effectively. We have a lot of experience working with clients with major aches, pains, injuries and degenerative diseases. If necessary, we will communicate with your doctor or physical therapist to find what exercise program best suits your needs. Regardless of your limitations, exercise is possible.
Are your personal trainers certified?
Yes! Our personal trainers are certified through widely recognized personal training institutes and accreditations. Some of our trainers have degrees in exercise science and kinesiology. All of our trainers also pass a certified background check. Each of our trainers actively participate in our 12-month mentoring program where they are able to grow and build their professional skills. Most importantly, our trainers are very passionate about fitness and helping people change their lives, one workout at a time.
