Michael Haslam, CPT
Movement & Mobility Specialist
Pre/Post Natal Fitness Instructor
Michael was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. He studied chemistry and physics when attending Roanoke College in Virginia. While there, he played 3 years of collegiate baseball, unfortunately losing the 4th to a knee injury. On the road to recovery, his eagerness to come back healthy propelled his love of exercise.
After college, Michael became a baseball/softball and fitness instructor. His favorite programs at the academy not only improved technical skills, but guided students in strength and power training, nutrition, and behaviorial changes. He encouraged athletes to work towards life habits and not temporary success. During this time, Michael discovered his true passion of helping clients in a personal setting.
Michael became a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). He loves to use a client’s personality and needs to reach their desired goals. Creating effective workout plans and ensuring proper technique are his two biggest priorities, but he likes to mix it up to keep workouts fun and challenging.
Michael also is a Movement and Mobility Specialist from The Ready State, which allows him to help clients alleviate pain and stiffness through increased mobility. Michael is also an Oh Baby! Pre/postnatal fitness instructor and works with women through all stages of their pregnancy and beyond.
In his free time, Michael betters himself through CrossFit, weightlifting, obstacle races, and clean cooking. These allow him to explore the outdoors via hiking, play a pick-up game with friends, or keep up with anything that life throws at him.
Michael hopes to inspire others to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle and give them the ability to reach their own goals.
